Allan Oviedo inherited La Cumbre from his father in 2001, and installed his own micro mill on the farm. This allowed Allan to process the coffee himself instead of bringing it to the local co-op, meaning he could leave his night job as a taxi driver and farm full-time. He also replaced the plant stock from catimor to higher quality caturra. This coffee is naturally processed, which gives it extra body and a creamy texture.
